When an exceedingly scruffy poodle is groomed after being rescued by an animal shelter, she is found to be a very rare breed of poodle thought extinct long ago—the Royal Bedrosian Long-Necked Spotted Poodle! Sassie quickly becomes accustomed to the high life as a Princess and turns unbearably snotty and demanding: Regular dog food does not fit her standards, and she simply cannot be seen on an ordinary leash .
